City Mayor “Ernie Troiana”-Police Officer Who Punched Emily Weinman Was Doing His Duty

The city mayor “Ernie Troiana” of Wildwood indirectly says that the Police Officer who punched the young girl Emily Weinman was doing his duty as she refunded to comply.

Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr told NJ.com, said

“If our officers are wrong, they’re wrong and they’ll be handled as such,” Troiano said. “But when push comes to shove, I think our police officers did what they had to do.”

According to Troiano, the city is “taking an aggressive stance to end [underage drinking].”

He said that is not a hard thing to do. Just obey the laws. It is surprising that the number of people just believe they can drink. It is also surprising that the number of kids who come down here and just feels like the law doesn’t pertain to them.

The video indicates Emily Weinman being stuck to the ground by two officers as individuals behind yelling “Stop Resisting”. One of the police officer through two punched in the head before stuck her face-down in the sand while the other officer pins her legs to the ground.

As per police, Emily Weinman has been accused of: “Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer (2 Counts), Aggravated Assault by Spitting Bodily Fluids at/on a Police Officer, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.”

The police additionally said that they have also started an internal investigation over the matter. While Police Chief Robert Regalbuto found the video disturbing, he said he does “not have any desire to race to any judgment” until after the request.
